Our Mission
Our foremost goal is to be humble service to our fellow man. We believe that in serving others with honesty and integrity, we honor and please God. Our role model for humble service is the Lord, Jesus Christ, who said, “I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27 ESV).
Humble Beginnings
Floyd Duncan and his wife, Sherry, founded Duncan Exterminating on February 1, 1981. Floyd entered the profession in 1969 as a pest control route man for Orkin Exterminators. In 2 years, he moved into a sales position where he was awarded President’s Club honors 4 times. In 1975, Floyd joined Getz Exterminating, again as a pest control route man. In 2 years, he became branch manager for the Gainesville office. Floyd enjoyed this position with Getz, and the office thrived. However, Floyd eventually realized the constraints of working for such a large company, in that he could not treat his customers or employees as well as he desired. So, early in 1981, he put his 1974 C-10 Chevy pickup on the road, and Duncan Exterminating was born. Originally, the company operated out of Floyd and Sherry’s home in Dawsonville. In 1983, the company moved to a location in Gainesville, on Atlanta Highway. In 1986, the company moved to an office location on Cleveland Highway. In 2005 a branch office was opened in Dawsonville to provide better service to our customers. Most recently, our Gainesville office has relocated from Cleveland Highway to Thompson Bridge Road.
Duncan Exterminating is a family owned, full-service pest control business located in Gainesville & Dawsonville, GA. All three of Floyd and Sherry’s children also work at Duncan (Brett Duncan, Matthew Duncan & Tina Brady). The Duncan family takes great pride in having served the North Georgia area since 1981. Our goal is to always provide superior customer service at reasonable rates. We continually strive to improve our service by utilizing the latest improvements in pest control materials and technology. At Duncan, we truly care about our customers. We fully understand that our company’s success is completely dependent upon our customer’s complete satisfaction. At Duncan Exterminating, we are grateful that God has blessed us so richly with a wonderful staff and customers. We hope to be of better service to our fellow man in the years to come.
